can't wait

i asked my doctors two weeks ago if i could proceed to gym workout as soon as possible and they said i have to wait till march. but as naughty as i am, i went for a little workout last saturday. hehehehehe! i told my gym instructor that i'm fit to do workout but only for upper body exercises. ;-) i don't think it would affect my knee that bad. shhh... maybe i'll continue my workout this week and hopefully for the rest of the year. (i suppose a few days before march won't really matter, right?)

poor thing

for some reasons that i don't understand, my xda died and it had to be repaired. that means, i'm gonna be missing my phone for a month or so. but i wish it'd be repaired the soonest. huhuhu.

the saddest thing, i can't avail any replacement because it's beyond the damned warranty sh*t. i called up a friend and hopefully she could find a way to spare me a working cellular phone. i told her even if that's the oldest unit available i'd take it. it's really hard to be UN-connected nowadays. much so that it's a got damned office phone and i am constantly monitoring my projects (uh huh...as if i'm working...but really...i am...trust me)

talking about work, i figured out perhaps i'd be back to being a regular office guy by first week of march. being a bum is nice but being an office bum is a lot nicer. ;-) can check emails regularly without paying so much on an hourly internet cafe (not to mention the slowest connection ever), can open ym twenty-four-by-seven if necessary, can even blog regularly. oh yes, i missed blogging everyday.

have anyone heard about the brownman revival? meyn, they're awesome. got mp3s just this afternoon. i'm planning to burn 'em and hear 'em in my car stereo. for now, i'm really really into jamie foxx's unpredictable album. try it.

oh yes!

more great news...finally, i'm able to bend my knee to a hundred degrees actively while i hit 115 degrees on the cpm...this is the last for cpm though. still, i'm gonna be using that machine maybe for a couple of sessions only then proceed to another killer exercise so i can reach 135 degrees (active) very very soon. :) now, i'm able to walk without crutches. not even cane.... but i'm making use of my immobilizer. i'm like a toddler learning how to walk properly. not bad though..;-) at least, i don't use those things anymore.

the need for speed

after two and a half months, i'm done with need for speed most wanted. blacklist no.1 (razor) wasn't that tough to beat though. the end part wasn't that really i expected, see, i had to defeat razor in five (5) different races then i thought that'd be over, but then when i took my prized possession - the bmw g3 car wham! the whole rockport mobile police team went chasing after me. then i had to make this great escape for at least 8 minutes before mia (the lady helping me all the way to the blacklist) calls up to tell me where to go. then we head to this bridge and if i can get to that part, it'll be over for cross (the most skilled driver @ rockport) and his team. whew! can't believe that it's finally over...

now, i'm back to playing minesweeper. duh.

remarkable progress

after 3 weeks of doing the rehab, i can now bend my knees to about 85 degrees without any help. with the machine, i can bend to as much as 105 degrees. that's pretty close to 115 degrees which is actually the last for the cpm. normally, people need 135 degrees to be able to walk without any help. i'm pretty sure i can get to that before this month ends. i really have to walk..walk...and walk... :)

for now, i can drive my car...sit properly on a chair...sleep sideways...and you know what i mean...hehehe...

post surgery update

after two weeks of operation, i can now bend my knee to about 60 to 64 degrees without anybody's help. while using cpm it can actually go to as much as 74 degrees. our goal is to be able to bend to as much as 110 degrees. if i can just do that with the machine for less than two months, then i can walk without crutches, not even a cane. ;-) today, those staple wires were taken and i felt a little weird while my doctor removed them one by one...and fast. so far, this immobilizer stays with me till feb.20 and after that i can wear my favorite jeans.

you know one thing that made me a bit sad this morning was that i found out my right leg/thigh shrunk to about 2.5 inches...it measured 20 inches in diameter as compared to my left leg @ 22.5-inches.

my therapist told me to work hard on my left quads so they will develop fast. man, imagine lying in bed for a month without moving any part of your body...

so that's it for the update... ;-) laterz
